"I love God, I love people, and I love the church. I want to help those who know the Lord to know him deeper. Those who do not know the Lord, I would love to be part of introducing them to him. I have a passion for discipleship, especially the discipleship of young people. I love to teach the scriptures when I have the opportunity."
Josh began as associate pastor to students in May 2016. He loves LaFollette and getting out into the community. He graduated with a Bachelors in Bible with a concentration in Youth Ministry from Tennessee Temple University in 2012. He obtained a Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2016. Josh has worked with students and their families in Chattanooga TN, and Raleigh NC since 2009.
Josh tries to take God seriously, and not take himself so seriously. It's been a ride so far, and he's excited to see where it's headed. It is a real privilege to work with families in Campbell County. In 2017 Josh was voted in the Lafollette Press' "Top 40 Under 40." No one quite knows what that means, but his mom is proud.
In his free time Josh enjoys fly-fishing for trout, Georgia Tech football, any kind of hunting, and in general being outside. He out-kicked his coverage and has been married to his beautiful wife Melissa since July 2012. Melissa loves working with high school girls, and college students at NHBC. They have a dog named Bauer, and a cat named Oliver.
